THE GEOMETRY OF EMPATHY: A Manifesto on Mending Perception

We live in an era of the "Hard Edge."
Our world has become a collection of fortresses—digital echo chambers and invisible borders built from the heavy stones of "us versus them." We have become experts at the architecture of separation, looking at one another through filters that distort, flatten, and divide.
But what if we returned to the playground?
As a child, a circle wasn’t a boundary; it was a huddle. A triangle wasn’t a weapon; it was a roof. A square wasn’t a cell; it was a building block. These are our shared primal languages—the first vocabulary we ever learned before we were taught who to fear.
The Aura of Charm
For my upcoming solo exhibition at Ellio Fine Art, I wanted to see if these basic shapes could serve as a suture for our social fractures.
Using layered fluorescent and transparent acrylics, I have created what I call the "Aura of Charm." These are not static works of art. They are kinetic dialogues. As you move, the light shifts. The colors bleed into one another. The "aura" appears only when you are willing to change your perspective.
This is the core of The Geometry of Empathy: the realization that "truth" is rarely found in a fixed position. It is found in the movement between us.
Beyond the Filter
Following my recent work with SpaceX and HPE, where technology is used to reach toward the stars or connect across oceans, I found myself craving a more physical connection. I wanted to create a space in Houston where the light doesn't come from a screen, but from the physical interaction of form and human presence.
When you walk into the gallery on April 17th, you will see the skylights activated with a spectrum of color. You will see hexagons that act as blueprints for harmony and circles that refuse to have a "side."
This show is an invitation to put down the "fortress mentality" and pick up the blocks again. It is a reminder that while our world feels fragmented, the building blocks of our reality remain universal, joyful, and—above all—shared.
I invite you to come and move with the light.
